Lydias Castle has announced the death of former Staind member Jon Wysocki
Wysocki played on seven of the band's eight albums
Jon Wysocki, the founding drummer of rock band Staind, has died at 53. His death was confirmed by his current bandmates in Lydias Castle. No cause of death has been announced.
Wysocki played on seven of Staind's eight albums, including their breakthrough 1999 release "Dysfunction." He left the band in 2011 and was replaced by Sal Giancarelli.
In a statement, Lydias Castle said, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear friend and bandmate, Jon Wysocki. Jon was not only a great drummer, but a great friend and a great human being. It was an honor to have him in SOIL for the time we did."
Wysocki's death is a tragic loss for the music world. He was a talented drummer and a beloved member of the Staind family. He will be deeply missed.
